Default Fender Eliminators, Frame Sliders (searched)

I'm still pretty new to the whole bike scene, can someone please explain what Frame sliders and fender eliminators are exactly?

Also, please explain the pro's and con's about fender eliminators and frame sliders?

Would you recommend me getting either for my bike or not worry about it because I don't go to the track?

etc. etc.

Any help needed, thanks!

framesliders.. little pegs that stick out from each side.. protecting the lower fairings from alot of damage when the bike gets laid down. fender eliminator. gets rid of that nasty mudflap hangin off the back of the bike

To be more precise, the frame sliders are supposed to protect the frame from damage. Some frame sliders have the added benefit of protecting some of the fairings from damage, but this is not always the case.

The angle of the impact and what the bike impacts plays a big part in what will be damaged.

Frame sliders can be beneficial to non-track-riders also, in the event that you drop the bike (at a standstill or in motion).

Fender eliminators are more of a stylish statement. They are not functional.

Frame sliders are highly recommended for beginer riders (like me) Thay have already turned two drops (<5mph) into a simple ego bruises and not costly repairs

Ill disagree on this one. do you see the stock fender making lots of drag resistance??? compared to a FE?
