I'm going to look at a 95 YZF600 w/ 10k miles on it down in CT next weekend, and as this is my first bike, and I have not the proper gear, tonite I went and bought myself some boots. You guys all said for proper footwear, get at least a set of ankle high leather boots for street riding, more or less. So although I would have never previously bought some, I bought a pair of LugZZZ Drifters in medium height, fairly light boots and not bad in the comfort department. Now to just buy....pants, jacket, gloves, helmet.......and a motorcycle.

And yes I read the noobie thread end to end at the top of the forum!

Just asking as well, its a 95 Yamaha YZF600 w/ 10k on it for $3,000. Guy who has it now is the 2nd adult owner, its a clean title, never been down, comes with a bike cover, saddle bags for the tail, and a helmet if I want for a few hundred extra bucks. The bike is the blue/green color that came with I guess purple decals and purple rims, but the guy knew a powdercoater, so had the wheels pulled and coated black, as well as he removed all the decals, I like it. Seem like a not too terrible of a deal?

The bike looks good, and it seems to be a decent deal.

Do you really need the extra stuff though? Maybe the bags and the bike cover, but unless the owner's helmet fits you PERFECTLY, I would advise against the extra money for the lid. Besides, it could have his headfunk inside the helmet.

 

Oh, I'm definitely not taking the helmet. Thats just wierd, who would buy a used helmet? Would you use someone elses used condom? I think not.

I'll probably take the bags and cover though. If I want, I can keep the bags on to carry my leather vest, ball gag, and chaps. And then clothes to change into while NOT riding.

 

1 don't pay 3000 for that
2 buy a helmet gloves and jacket
3 buy some frame sliders
4 ride it in a parking lot til your comfertable
5 pose with it and post pics, please keep your shirt on
6 ride the **** out of it

The price is kinda steep for a sport-touring bike that's 10yrs old. I don't care how clean it is.

 

Meh, true. Theres also this 94 CBR F2 for like $2,000 alot closer to my area I could go check out. Either way, I'm likely checking out a bike this friday and possibly buying one next week.

Its his daily driver, he wont be getting rid of the bike till the end of June, but I can always put a deposit on it.
