i got a couple of questions about the seats i just recently purchased one. i bought the sparco sprint seats and i need to know if there is a way i can get harnesses for them and also sliding brackets because there only one setting. so if you could give me some internet sites to find these things it would be greatly appreciated. also can i install these things on my own or get them professionally done
Well if u get a bracket specifically for your car and a slider specifically for your seat then you will be golden. Installation takes like 10 minutes and is real easy. If you are trying to modifiy stock brackets which costs less but you make up for it in time then you have to make sure u know what you are doing, cause you usually only get once to measure with racing seats.
For your seat you can go to http://www.racing-seats-usa.com. They have the best availibility.... their fitment was just OK for my car and i had to modify it but normally its bolt in. theytake a good amount of time for shipping to but they are real cheap. I got a corbeau bracket and slider for my seat and to get the seat to fit took some creative engineering.
As for the harnesses http://www.google.com/search?h...esses is your best bet. Just search around and see what you like. But know that if you plan to road race the car they usually require rollover protection when you wear harnesses. A harness bar isnt gonna cut it, and neither is bolting them in to the back seat seatbelt holes. You need them to be mounted from high up so that if you do unfortunately need to use them your spine wont compress.
I suggest 5 points, as for 3 points are a joke, and if you are going to be using harnesses for what they are supposed to i like to have the 5th point to keep me in the seat for the hard autox turns. Make sure you do it right! unless its a show car then do it however you want.

so for the harness the only way that i can install them is if i have a roll cage??? how much does that cost
NO you dont need a roll cage for when you install harnesses, but if you are planning to use the harnesses for what they are meant to be used for nobody will let you use them unless you have one. If youre on a budget stick with street seats that allow you to use a stock seatbelt. If you must have harnesses you can get a harness bar or just use the stock seatbelt holes in the rear seats to bolt them in.
I got my cage for 330 plus shipping from kirk racing. god investment for my eggshell honda hatchie harnesses or not.
