Default Does this wiring sound right?

I just upgraded my 6.5 components in the front, 2 amps and 1 sub in the rear. I had the same setup before with different products, and I just upgraded everything along with the wiring. Since upgrading I have the RPM whine.. my grounds seem fine, so it has to be my wiring.

I searched and found that the RCA wire should be kept away from the power wire, but I can't find anything on the speaker wire placement.

As it is, the shop installed my power wire along the passenger side, and the RCA wire along the driver side. However, my speaker wire goes underneath the passenger seat (so 1ft away from power wire at most)... is this right?

I'm thinking I should rewire it through the driver side with the RCA cables, so it's as far from the power wire as possible. What should I do?

The power wire is running down the proper side of the, [if your batt. is mounted on the right side of the car] The RCAs, on the other hand have been run down the wrong side of the car. The "power side" of your car is the drivers side, all the "power wires" for every thing at the back of the car, [fuel pump, tail lights, brake lights, backup lights and rear window defog.] Although it may not be the problem, it's best to keep RCAs away from any kind of "power wires" they should have been run down the center of the car, have you "beefed up" the grounds in the engine bay, [lots of info about that if you search] Where is the amp grounded? What gauge wire is being used for power and ground on the amp? Hows the ground for the HU? How is the AM radio reception? 94

I believe it's 18" between the power and RCA/speaker wires. Run the speaker wires along with your RCA's. But you really need to have the RCA/speaker wires away from power wires.

run the RCA's and speakers in the center of the car. this is for SURE the best way to go.
