i'd say definitely a custom one if you have the money, but if your on a budget than i'd say jdm itr 4-1
that's around like 250-400 range.
Rmf is selling one of his for 700 that's with a coating in the end and shipped. and He'll build you a custom one.
DTR B-unit version i believe is around 750-850
Smsp has the production type which is all around 800
unless you wanna go all out you know and get the 1000+ versions
of DTR, SMSP, HYTECH

Vision Technica R 4-1 header? Its on JHPUSA.com for $630 i'm considering picking it up for my build which is very similar to his except 11:5:1 with a 2000 ITR head thats stock on a 2.0L block and some other things. I don't feel like waiting for someone to fabricate me a header AN-R etc said like 3 weeks, and I don't feel like paying $800+ for a header right now because the engine will probably blow up and I'll have to build a boosted car so it isn't slow.
The 2 I would do is either the new DTR B unit header, or the SMSP 1 piece header. The SMSP is going for around 600 not 800. The DTR I believe is around 800-900. You wont go wrong with either one of those headers. GL. Or you can do somethin like a custom header built for your setup, which will run you well over a grand. The SMSP 1 peice or the B unit should be good enough though.

wait a month and if i decide to sell my car and get an srt-4 i will sell you my headertech specially built for a 2.0(3in collector!)
Yeah but thats mild steel that isn't even coated, for $630 you can get the Vision Technica R 4-1 header in stainless with antireversion chambers that is hand ported...the SMSP is probably a great deal but not unless its stainless

LOL and how does that make it a BETTER header? cuase it has antireversion chambers? How does that help? and hand ported? How is that SOO great?

i have a very similiar setup
84mm 12:5:1 cr
skunk2 stage 2 cams
supertech valvesprings/retainers with type r valves
ported pr3 head
custom cp pistons and egle rods
b20 crank
8 lb flywheel
profab block guard
apex power fc ecu
custom 46mm itbs
apex power fc ecu
profab header.. same as the spark racing which has a long post about it right now
i will be tuning it this coming week hopefully

you might want to step up to some bigger injectors. i have almost the same setup minus the ported head and i am running 440's at about 80% duty cycle. i am using an an-r header with merge collector.
try usisng other brand headers ,,,, dont get DC'S i mean they ok but for your set up,, try something better,,,,, try RMF or AN R,,,, by the way those injectors should do the job...
You're just so helpful.
I don't know that much about headers, I have other things going on in my life and I lack the time to sit at the computer for hours upon hours reasearching headers.
The Vision Technica R 4-1 header

But if I can get RMF Jet Hot coated for $675 like it said on ezine or whatever I'm probably doing that.

i've seen pretty good gains from the Vision, but it's pretty much just a JDM 4-1 clone with better workmanship. You're much better off going with an RMF, SMSP, ANR, etc.
personally, i'm getting the Toda. extremely similar design to the SMSP and Hytech street headers (strange because the Toda came out 3 years before the other two) and it's actually cheaper in stainless. power gains are almost identical.

I always find it interesting how people will spend a great deal of money on their motor build, and then cut corners when selecting a header just to save a few hundred dollars.
BTW, there are no anti-reversion chambers on that Vision header, and even in uncoated mild steel, I'd opt for an SMSP one-piece over it.
