Default 5 lug swap: splash shields?

Picked up the parts for the 5 lug conversion today ($225 for everything). Everything looks to be in good condition (just a little dirt and surface rust), however the black splash shields are a little beat up since the rear of the car was sitting on the ground. Do you have to use the 5th gen splash shields, or can the 4th gen ones be substituted? Are they even really needed at all? It would be a lot easier to straighter out the ones on the 5th gen pieces so I dont have to remove the rear spindle nuts.

Yo Tim, where did you get the 5-lug swap from? By the way, I don't think the splash guards are really important. When I swapped to Integra front brakes on my civic, I took them off and threw them in the trash.

Good luck on the swap man. Wish I was around to help, or cause problems as is usually the case.

And Shamus? What the hell? What you up to these days man?
