Do I need to get new valve springs to run Civic Type R cams?
if you are staying with the same rev limit, you will be safe for a little while. But if you want to take your rpm's just a little higher i would replace them.

those are both pretty mild cams so no you dont NEED to but i would...what u got a 1st gen b16...u wouldnt really even need to go above your stock limit...if u did u wouldnt really be makin much power..but if u have the funds i say change em

I have a first gen b17 head. Its LS/VTEC but its balanced with King race bearings. I still will never rev over 8500. Even 8200rpm is pushing it. So if I can get away with stock valve springs I will.
my b16a has itr cams with stock springs and retianers and they pull really hard all the way to 8200 rpms (stock rev. limit) i dont plan on reving any higher then that so u should be fine on stock springs and retianers just keep it around stock rev. limit
