Reputable shop in the DC/MD/VA/PA Area
I'm looking for a reputable shop to build my LS/VTEC. I keep getting Inline Pro, but I've heard mixed reviews about their work. Is there anybody else who does good work and possibly stands by it too. I'm looking to have my block hot tanked and decked, head milled, and the crank and head cleaned up. I'd also need them to assemble everything from top to bottom including cams, valvesprings, retainers, pistons rods ect. and most importantly i need the motor to last thats why i'm going all motor in the first place. This should be a 200 whp build so i want someone who know what there doing. Sorry for long post but i've been stressin'. Any help is appreciated!!
yeah i've heard of him i thought that was just a machine shop though....I called about a port and polish and he quoted me something crazy like 1500 for a street port, cleaning and head assembly
inline pro.
any and every shop will have their set of complaints.
but for that basic build, any machine shop can do it... and inline will sublet your stuff to get milled and cleaned. theyll only assemble it. so will most "race shops"

hybridvteceg, are you speaking from personal experience with inline. The only reason I am a lil scared is i have a friend who had them build his lsvtec and he started burning oil. Oh and do they tune vafc?
We work w/ 3 different head porting shops depending on customer needs. Basic bowl port and blend starts at $600, labor only. It goes up from there.
Other than crank grinding, we perform all work/operations ourselves.
This includes complete assembly ready to install. Inhouse 1000hp engine dyno also available.
Currently, all CarDoctor Honda's, Saturn Ecotec's, MSP/Lucas Oil Toyota's are delivered complete ready to install. And most of the serious street Honda's projects are assembled inhouse also.
We're a bit more than "just a machine shop".

like stated above, everyone has good and bad things to say about a shop. Inline obviously does things well, just look at how many consistent customers they have coming to them.
