Default Differences between canadian and U.S. civics

I have searched, although probably not well enough, but I came up with nothing.

What I want to know is... Are all 92-95 Civic Ex's made in Canada. I'm asking this because my car says "manufactored by Honda of Canada." and my interior is lighter than a friend of mines. He has the same Type D Black interior, but his is darker.

I want to know if it is just "fadedness" or if there is a difference. The reason, I want to order some stock floor mats(which I just found out are discountiued )

If anyone could point me in the direction of the differences, I would be very appreciative.

Thanks in advance...
Jarrod

only differences are like ABS standard or daytime running lights or spare tire size (yes its different). the trim level differs. us ex is the canada si us si is canada si-r but retain same engine as specified in the us trim level (canada si has D16 engine)

interior would be from fading.

Yes... take the fuse out.

The 92-95 Civic CX in the USA comes with a D15B8 (8 valve, 70hp) whereas the Canadian CX only came with the D15B7 (16 valve, 102hp). The Canadian DX/LX also had the D15B7. We didn't get the D15B8 up here in Canada (thankfully).

PS, it's a slow night at work and I enjoy digging up archived threads, so don't ask. It's fun.

It's funny because it's true. We make all those ABS pieces for Honda at my work... they like everything to be ABS. It's such a pain in the *** working with ABS plastic.

Not to jack the thread, but my GF is from Canada. She tells me there is a Civic SI and a Civic SI-R. What are the differences between the two? And how do they campare to the US Civic SI? (i.e. US 2000 Civic SI) Again sorry to jack the thread but this has been killing me for a while.

The canadians also didn't get the clock for the DX hatchback (1992-1995). I had to buy mine off e-bay. I like the daytime running lights (DRL) because at dusk you can just turn on your parking lights and it seems like your full lights are on.

I bought my 1992 civic brand new. The CX had no door trim and no rear wiper until '94 or '95 when it was pretty much identical to the DX. The DX had cloth seats with door trim and rear wiper.

They have 93-95 Si coupes in Canada that had manual roll-up windows too.

Oh and not all 92-95 coupes were made in Canada - some were manufactured in The U.S.

I don't agree with that because I've personally seen a canadian hatch with the d8 in it that I'm 90% sure wasn't swapped in. Not sure what trim it was but it was most likely a cx

I believe in 1992 and 1993 and perhaps later the CX had the b8 engine inside. (I could be wrong). After this the CX and DX were one in the same in fact I believe they removed the DX hatch from the lineup. The VX only came out in 1992 and 1993.
