Default Si tranny in an HF??

Ok guys here's my question. I'm going to be putting a ZC in my Hf rex in the very near future, but I was wondering if an Si tranny is able to bolt on to the HF motor?? Just trying to upgrade a little at a time. Also do I need to change out knuckles, hubs, or axles when I do my ZC swap??
Thanks guys.

i'm pretty sure the zc axles are larger than the hf ones, so yes, the knuckles and hubs will have to be changed to si or teg ones.

So will the Si tranny fit the HF engine?

All D-series cable trannies mount up to all D-series motors and fit in EF's
Now, HF and dx STD have smaller knuckles, which need to be replaces. Just get SI knuckles and that's it. Caliper and rotors will work fine. If I'm wrong, correct me please.

PS. My .02, don't waste your time installing the Si tranny, just leave it out, get some knuckles, si axles, and get the zc long block.

All that you need if you use the SI tranny:
*SI or DX Hubs/Knuckles
*SI/or DX stock axles.

All that you need if you use the ZC tranny with the halfshaft:
*SI or DX Hubs/Knuckles
*90-93 teg axles.

That is all.

ALL the 88-91 D series trannies will be interchangable

You can use the Si tranny with your current set up. You will need to use the HF axles. It would not be a bad idea at some point to upgrade to the DX or Si knuckles, hubs and disc brakes. The Si/DX brakes are slightly larger. I hope this helps.

I have a Std as well, it's not a DX, just FYI. Also, the knuckles are the same as HF's. So, if you are thinking of a b-series swap, gotta change them out. Great upgrade woulud be EX calipers/rotors/knuckles. 10.3" compared to 9.5" and you can get them for all for $150! That's a steal in my books. goto http://www.jdmhondaparts.com/frameset.htm
