Just a few hours ago my power driver seat stopped moving back and forth on my accord (96 ex v6) but it still moves up and down and the back of the seat still adjusts. Whats my problem?

 

i have the same problem sometimes...it goes away but sometimes i hit the seat or move the wires around under the seat.

Maybe a bad relay or motor with the seat. Get out your repair manual and follow it on how to check to see.

Usually a bad motor, but the switch or wiring could cause it too. Should be easy to diagnose.

 

That happened to one of our cars at home, it was a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee, let me tell you, the stupid switch was bad, it was a cheap fix because we did it ourselves, but if its the motor...that might require some extensive work.

 

the past couple days (about a month and a half after it stopped working) it every now and then when i start the car it acts like it wants to go, cause i hear the motor running as if it were moving back and forth. ???coming back alive???
