Got a few new pics
Wow it's been a while since I've been on here, but I've gotten a few goodies since last time I checked in. Here's a few older ones and a couple new pics:

Aaaaaaand a few newer shots:

Sorry they're choppy in size. Computers aren't my thing.

i believe that's the cusco bar, and if i remember correctly is more for show than safety. i remember someone saying that it would fold like a toothpick if rolled on

cusco bar...it does not meet SCCA/NASA/FIA requirements. Most tracks go by SCCA requirements and the cusco bar is no where near that

i should rephrase...
what about that bar keeps it from being legal.
aside from legality, does it do its job properly. its a shame it isnt legal, its priced right.
again, anybody know what diffuser that is?

the bar would crumple under impact. if you look closely, the bars are not welded. there is a nut/bolt a couple inches above your head. it is also not thick enough. there are alot of things that do not meet requirements
the diffuser is same as my friend has. i will ask him later and get back to you

No, it really isnt. Why would you want a roll bar that doesnt perform its only intended task? Its cheap because it doesnt work, it just looks pretty. That car looks cool, but they'd give it a big thumbs down at the inspection corner.

First off thanx for all the positive feedback. The car's almost finished on the outside (well interior too in a week or two). Now to answer a few questions:
That's what I've been told by a few others too. However when I was at a show, someone approached me (who tracks his M3 all the time and has has a full cage too) and said they'd let me on the track. I'm not discrediting you at all. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
Yeah tha soft top is fully functional with the roll cage installed. No plans for a hardtop.
Not slicks. They're A032R's
The bar is the Cusco Chromoly 6-point w? harness bar and the rear diffuser is from Top Secret
Thanx alot. The exhaust is from JIC Magic. I got the roll bar from a friend of mine who runs an online business. You can get most everything from http://www.bulletproofautomotive.com
Thanx
Top Secret Diffuser
The rear legs were a pain in the ***. You have to remove the tray under the convertible top. And getting to that (well the rivets that hold it in) was hard. Other than that, it's not all that bad.
Thanx
Under the hood.....not too much really yet. Spoon snorkle, Spoon intake filter, Spoon strut tower bar, Spoon radiator stays, Cusco oil catch can, J's Racing radiator cap, J's Racing oil cap
Thanx
Yeah I said the same thing after it was installed
.......
I hope I got to everything. Again thanx for looking and for all the comments as well.

the cusco bars for just about every application are honestly not worth buying in my opinion. They look great, dont get me wrong...but as far as functionality...well, it'd be like paying 400 dollars for a hooker, just to look at her...if you catch my drift. The bars wont save your neck in the event of a roll.

If you're gonna go for just an open track event, you will be allowed on the track. If you're gonna be competing with your car it won't cut it since some competition events don't allow convertibles on the track without an approved roll cage. Car looks great but that cusco bar is nothing but bling and unnecessary weight to me.
