Default Gauge Cluster swap questions

I have a cluster issue. I have a 92 eg cx. I swapped out my stock cluster for a jdm sir cluster.

The issue is my temp gauge is reading full hot right when i turn on the car. My fuel gauge is reading ok and when i put in the old cluster it reads cold since the engine was just started.

Is this happening since i am using the jdm cluster?

sounds like you may have some wires switched around.. should this be just a plug and play deal?

no you cant switch the green's on ex. which i assume is the 96+ right? the yellow/white is your gas gauge wire on the eg side. and if you do a search on ek gauge i know someone has wire or placement for that....

or if the gauge is from a 92-95 ex.. you should be able to use the greenback but unsure on that. since i dont know if the wiring was changed onthe ex eg models. then just look at your yellow/white wire. it may be touching something or is not in the correct spot, or it could be a bad gauge.

I am having the same problem with 97 w/ si cluster (to match motor), but I don't know for sure the answer to your question.

I do want to let you know to be careful about post-whoring though. They will get you for it, so you may want to start a new thread about this.
