JDM H22A piston replacements? (i seriously dont know)
Please dont laugh.
I have a 99 Accord with the JDM H22A motor swap and a RevHard turbo kit.
I recently blew the piston rings (No surprise there). My stepfather is taking apart the block for me and hes going to replace the rings...
Anyway, my question is where can i get just plain old stock rings? I think i would have to get the pistons too... Would the USDM H22A work with the JDM H22A? Also, i need to get gaskets as well...do i just get the USDM? or....?
I appreciate your feedbacks.
My car is finally finished after a long time. You can check it out here. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/764167
Thanks a lot for your helps.

JDM H22 pistons' compression is 10.6:1 except JDM Type S 11:1
USDM H22 pistons' compression is 10:1
You turboed your car so since you are there already, why don't you replace with lower compression pistons (more turbo friendly).

from what i understand:
you mean i should replace the ones i have with the USDM h22a pistons/rings? And that will make it harder to blow them since they are lower compression? They will fit in the JDM h22a block though right?
I just dont want to lose any power.
A tunning shop told me that i could also bore out the sleeves at a machine shop for like 200$ and just get the forged pistons/rings and rods which would let me run up to like 20psi and safely?
Not sure what to do... we have the oil pan off right now and the sleeves from the bottom side look perfect...were taking off the head this weekend. I just need to get this done before July...cant live without the car during summertime you know what i mean
