Default Having a serious issue with my car, please help!

Hey guys I have a 90 CRX DX converted to MPFI. I'm having the following issue with it.

The motor starts but BARELY revs up. It's hesitating/backfiring a lot. It's throwing two codes. One is for code 4, Crank Angle Sensor. Before I buy a new distributor does anybody know if this code can cause the car to do this? Like I said it's REALLY hesitating, I have to keep the gas pedal down and it won't rev any higher than around 3,000 RPM. It's also backfiring/sputtering.

The other code is throwing is weird. It's flashing 10 times fast. For code tain (Intake Air Temperature i'm pretty sure) wouldn't it just flash one long time?

Any and all help would be very much appreciated. I'd really like to iron out this issue instead of saving up for another swap.

Thanks!

yes,the code 4 will make you car bog badly and cut out at 3k,i would go over your wiring and make sure everything is correct.search mpfi and get some wiring diagrams, there are a ton on here that should help you out a little on that.

Thanks so much, that's good to hear. I'm pretty sure the wiring is good because I took the whole swap out of a friend's DX. It was running mint but he kept his distributor so maybe the one I bought (used) is bad.

Hey guys I re did ALL the wiring and it seems to be running smoothly now! Still flashing 10 times fast though. Is that code 10, or would code 10 be one long flash?
