Default upgrading my 2000 EX motor

i'm gonna do some work to my stock engine.(head/cam, manifold, throttle, injectors, rail, pump, ect....)
my friend is gonna help me but he has only done chevys before, so i'm wondering what parts to use. specifically for the head and cam, can i upgrade to dual cams? or is it better to stay with single? what brands should i look at? this is the stock 2000 EX engine.

To upgrade to dual cams, you need to get a B-series engine swap (b16, b18, b20, and so on). Research about your engine and what you want to do to it.
