if the iacv is working, when disconnecting it the rpms should drop right?? if they drop this means that the iacv is working. if the iacv is disconnected and the rpms do not drop then this means that iacv is bad then, right??...correct me if im wrong.
if ur iacv is bad u will have a rough or erratic idle while warming up the car already...

are u throwing any codes??? it should be CEL 14 for iacv....the rpms are not necessarily gonna drop it might surge...when my iacv stopped getting power i had to raise my idle to like 1200 just so the car wouldnt cut off when i took my foot off the gas...and it would not run when the motor was cold...i had to keep givin it gas until it fully warmed up to keep it running and then when it warmed up id get a rough idle...but ur way of checking is good...just make sure u do it before the motor warms up
