Just had brake pads replace - Now get vibration in steering wheel at high speed braking
Also had the brakes bled. Braking at anything < 60 works fine. At 65-70+ I get vibration in the steering wheel. Is this normal after new pads?
what's the name of the shop that did the brake job? (so i'll know not to go to them).
maybe they over-torqued the wheel lugs. (loosen, then using a torque wrench, tighten them back to ~85 ft-lbs -well it set @ that for my year)
that shop should have used a dial gauge to check for rotor runout & thickness as well...then should have let u know that those need to be resurfaced/ "cut"/or replaced based on the measurements.
around here, friend had just the front pads replaced @ a bargain brakes & muffler shop, but ending spending more $ for new rotors anyways since the worker didn't check that 1 of his rotors were cracked.

Well if it was a 91-97 Accord I can see why they didn't want to replace the rotors. It is literally the hardest brake job ever....
Nevertheless, you'll more than likely need to get new rotors. Try and get them resurfaced if you can because if your car is 91-97 a lot of shops are gonna charge you more for labor.
Midas does them for about $120 and you don't need to seperate the rotors+wheel bearing+hub from the car....
The Midas in my neighborhood is really great so you better check other places as well. Make sure they explain to you what's wrong, how it happened, why its doing what its doing, etc...

......If your wheel alignment was out your car would pull to one side, do you mean wheel balance perhaps?
It isnt the rear pads/rotors because like you said the vibration was through the s/wheel. I would gather warped disc, as unusual as it is, basically because the vibration is when braking, if it was a unbalanced wheel you should be able to feel it driving/braking at high speeds not just when braking. If they didnt machine your discs aswell they are fucked in the head because, depending on how low you wore your last pads, your rotors/discs get roughened/scratched etc. Which in turn causes the new pads they fitted to ware down quicker. If they where badly scratched and the a/market pair of pads had a high steel compound you may get a grinding/rough type feel but not a shudder.

your rotors are warped... so take them to a shop and get them resurfaced.. since you sayed it only does it fron 60+ i doubt that you wore them that bad so you should be able to resuface them if there still enough... why spend money on new rotors if you dont have to? take your car to a break shop and ask them if the could resurface your rotors.. price around also.. i got mine fronts done for about 50$..
Deffinately turn the rotors, you really should turn them every time you get your pads changed. Ur prob could b the rotors warped, something loose or sometimes an axle going out. The latter happened in my civic. Just a suggestion.
