Default JDM ITR losing power after changing header

Hello guys ,anyone has experienced with the DC titanium race header ? I lost about 10 hp at 7000rpm and lost 4 hp at peak untuned (had no time to tune it)
Car spec is as follow : JDM ITR stock , JS racing intake ,port and polish head and intake manifold ,UNichip piggyback, SARD fuel press regulator,MUgen head gasket. The engine makes better power with the stock 4-1 header and 2,5 inch exhaust to the back with 1 muffler, i think that the short exhaust on the DC is just too much for the stock engine. AFR is 12,5 for road racing

You have a stock itr motor, bolted on a "race" header and didnt tune it and wonder why you didnt make power? compression, cams, and tuning is key

Yes i know that, but long time ago SCC magazine did the great header test on a stock B18 and it gained 15hp forgot the torque gain though. Guess i have to get a more powerful motor to match the header

My guess is it may need to be tuned to your setup, a header isnt as plug and play as people make it out to be, why spend $1500 on a performance part and not spend a couple extra dollars to maximize your investment?

I dont know why people continue to buy DC crap. They usually only make minimal power on a large price tag and the constuction is poo.

Basically the result on the great header test on the SCC long time ago and the lightness made me buy it, its a good quality piece though and i love titanium . Had no time to tune it bcause i need to go tot the track to qualify.

I would think that if you tuned it ,It will probably run better.I don't think someone is going to spend that kind of money to build a POS.I thought the Ti header was a copy of the itr header.
