Default b18a question

are all b18a cable trannies? and if I use a b18a that had a cable tranny would I have to buy the hasport conversion to use a y21 tranny(b16a2)?

btw it's for a LSVtec build, want to use b18a block that might have had a cable tranny and use b16a2 tranny. Wondering if it would work.

yes b18a transmissions are cable so you would need to get the cable conversion peice.

if its the motors going back into a da then yeah you need the cable to hydro conversion. but it depends on if the car was cable tranny equipped to start with.

interesting, it's going into a em1 which had a hydro clutch. I was told by techs that it doesn't matter as long as you get the clutch and flywheel that's meant for your tranny. So I guess a Y21 tranny can fit a b18a block, unless someone has more info to share???
