Default Accord model help?

Hey, im from uk and am thinking about buying a 00 accord, i just been looking for parts and its as if the car doesnt even exist in usa or has any parts

its the same shape as this type r but without the lips/grills e.t.c

when i look for type r grills e.t.c i get images of a smaller looking grill:

which looks like it will no way fit!

if i do buy this car, are parts avaliable from the USA?

cars from the UK look different than the ones here. I remember seeing a picture of a 5th gen from the UK I beleive and it looked totally different than the 5th gens here. So probably anthing for the exterior of the car won't match what is sold here in the US. The car might however share some suspension or engine parts. But I'm not sure on that. Good luck

That car here was the late 90's Acura TL (not exactly but same platform, and shared some similar parts like headlight design and other things)...but no, we never had any Type-R car outside the Integra Type-R unfortunately. We never really got anything comparible to the Euro-R accords (and like models) until 2001 with the Type-S CL's and TL's...as good as it gets here is the V6 Accord EX Coupe (as far as sports models go).

that car and the late 90's TL may look somewhat similar but I don't think anything is really swappable between the two.

Never said there was...just said that the car we got that is similar to that was the late 90's TL, they probobly have totally different power trains, as from what i remember, the older TL had a 3.0 V6...im sure that accord has a different setup. He said he couldnt find it here, and that was true, we never had it...the car we had that was similar to that body style and chassis was the 1st gen TL.
