D16 is using oil, time for a ZC... and I'm lazy!
I found a local place that has a good rep. They will swap the engine, clutch, axles, and test and tune a ZC for $2500. And give me a 12 Mo warranty.
That sounds like a good price to me. Any comments?

BTW, its a 91 Civic Si Hatchaback (170K miles)

I will personally throw poo at you if you pay 2500 dollars for a ZC swap. That is 100% insane. No offense, but you will be sooooo disappointed if you pay 2500 for a zc swap.
I knew a dude who got a ZC from one of those places where they replace evreything first then charge you more. He paid about $800 plus shipping for a used ZC with a new generic water pump, timing belt (on wrong), and new exhaust gasket. They rip you when they replace all of that stuff for you and they usually use crap parts.
You can do the exact same thing for much less money and spend about 3 days tops working on it.
Honestly, for about $500-$800 less that wouldn't be a bad deal (after reading what they replace and whatnot), except you really don't need most of that stuff.
I put my ZC in three years ago, I've run the hell out of it, it uses no oil, the seals are all good, the T belt (one of the few things I did replace) is fine, and I spent under $700. I personnaly say save the money and just throw the ZC in and turbo it!

That's what I needed. I knew I could get the engine itself cheap, I just don't want to put it in myself! I've gotten lazy in my old age. I thought $2500 might be a bit steep. Maybe I'll be motivated to do the work this spring. I've replaced many a chevy engine.
I honestly feel like I could replace a ZC engine in a 91 civic in a matter of hours. If everything comes apart when taking the old out, you'll have the new one in the car in less than 4 hours.
