Default ABS GSR brakes on my 94 DX Questions

I just got a 94 DX coupe, from the original owner...

Also just swindled complete GSR brakes off an ABS integra, with the 1" MC/BB combo and a 40/40 prop valve from a 90 integra. I know the prop valve will work, and i know i just have to remove the sensors from the brakes, and they will work... but ive got a couple of questions anyways

#1. since the GSR MC/BB is from an ABS... will this make a differance on my NON abs civic?

#2. Is it alright to take the propotioning valve apart, to switch brakets from one with an EG? the 90 integra bracket will not bolt up

#3. Since the GSR MC is ABS, one of the holes to the prop valve is on the left middle (looking at it like its mounted on the firewall), and one is on the right front. Which line off the proportioning valve goes to which side, or does it even matter?

#4. I already swapped the front brakes out from the Stock DX's, to the Civic EX brakes... arent these the same as the GSR fronts? or is there a differance im unaweare of? Hubs or brake size/calipers?

#5. This really isnt a question, but for those of you that have done this, the custom fabbing of the brake hardlines is a ******* *****, especually when you live in a small town. Id suggest getting a NON abs Integra RS MC for those who do this in the future.

As long as you use an ABS MC with and ABS booster you shouldnt have any problems. Youll just have to bend some of the lines to get the 1" to work. You can also use the RS (non-abs) booster with the 15/16" MC and you wont have to bend any lines, it will bolt right up.

I am in the middle of the same disk upgrade, except I bought all my parts from the yunkyard.

I can only speak to questions 2/4.
I started to take my 4040 valve apart for the same reason (the brackets are different). The main problem is the bolts holding it together were staked on the very ends after it was assembled, presumably at the factory (and to prevent fiddling - anyone know why?).

I didnt finish disassembling mine simply because backing those bolts out would totally hose up the threads in the threaded side of the valve. Other than that I couldnt think of a reason why you cannot take it apart - in fact I totally wanted to see inside the ****. So what I am going to do is carefully cut the staked part off and clean the ends up with a file before backing them out so as to prevent damage to the threaded prop valve body.

Anybody know which is better MC, 15/16 or 1"? (Not because of the lines bolting up - I mean in terms of volume throw and brake feel).

As for question 4, according to powerslot's application guide the rotor diameter is the same on an EX as the Integra (10.31" or 262mm), dont know about the thickness. However, a 96+ GS-R caliper has a 57mm piston, while the EX has 54mm, so the calipers are definitely different. Doesnt mean they arent plug-n-play, just different.

Have fun.
