I've searched but couldn't find anything for VSS (Vehicle Speed Sense) wire location and color for a 5th Gen Prelude. I also have access to DEI's Techsoft online database but no luck.

Specifically mine is a 2001 non-SH.

I'm trying to install a Pioneer AVIC-D1 navigation system and it requires the VSS connection for best accuracy.

Anybody got a clue? Thanx in advance.

 

Sorry, I also can not find it, and I have 5 sources, what I have found is that all the Hondas I tried from 98-05 all have a blue/white wire w/ 4000 pulse and can be found, [depending on what year and model] at the ECU, dizzy or in green plugs above fuse box, I will try StaubTech. latter today at work. 94

Thanx for looking. I found it on Apex's website. I remember how they showed the ECU plug configuration for all kinds of Japanese vehicles when I got a VFAC. I went back to see if the VSS wire was on their PDF file but it wasn't. So I figured they'd have to have it for their Rev/Speed meter and there it was.

It only shows the pin configuration and pin location but it doesn't say the color. Well, I hooked it up today and just like you said, it's Blue/White.

 

That's great, what is Apex's Internet address? sounds like a good on to have 94
