i bought an 85 accord lx for $250.00 at work today. i saw it in the corner of the parking lot i could tell it had been sittin so i asked around and it turns out that it belonged to the president of our CO. he gave it to his daughter she had it for a while gave it back to him he drove it for a while gave it to a manager in the blow- mold plant he drove for a while and gave it back so had it again drove it for a while now I have it........254,000 miles oh yeah!! it had sat for a while but it stared right up(3 try's and had to push the the accellorator a couple of times) i'll have home on monday can you all give me some info on that model i know it was the last year for that body style cuz i have an 86 lx (214,000 miles)

are my engines compatable? the 86 has a "BS" forgot to look at the engine model of the 85 it does have a cool lookin valve cover its stock too

you can put the 88-89 accord EFI engine in there but obviously without the efi. The efi engine has more compression, more hp and more torque than the carbed version. check out http://www.3geez.com

I was under the impression that Place Racing (PRI) was bankrupt? No-one I ever asked could get me the mounts for my Accord, they all said they (PRI) were out of business.

They are out of business, but that doesnt mean mounts are not out there.

True, but most of the people at 3Geez.com (3rd gen. Accord comminty) have, like myself, given up hope of ever seeing them, much less finding some available for purchase.
