ABS- How would you know if you have it or not?

Default ABS- How would you know if you have it or not?

Yah its a dumb question, but whats a quick way to tell?

The quickest? Slam on your brakes really hard. If your car shudders and doesn't stop right away and you feel your pedal vibrate slightly you have ABS. Also works in snow/water. Most sensable? Your user manual.

Or turn your key to the ON position and a light should appear

Yeah that would be easy, but Im too lazy to walk out to the car.

U aint gonna be able to check ABS sittin in ur home lol. Might as well take a lil ride and do what sr civic said or if u have ABS light like what hitem'up said just got outside and turn the ignition. It dont take but two fingers and a turn.

I dont have ABS, no light and no hydraulic pump.

Look at the proportioning valve on the firewall. If there's only 4 lines coming in/out of it, you have ABS, if there is 6, you don't. Or you could look for the big *** control module in the engine bay, or the second fuse box in the engine bay as well.

yeap, ALL abs cars, regardless of make and model, wil have an ABS light that illuminates like the CEL when you switch your car to the on position

take a look in your engine bay.. theres a huge box with bright orange plugs everywhere.......not hard to miss

while its raining, drive 100mph towards brick wall. if you have abs you should be able to avoid it.

-honestly though. look in your manual, or turn your ignition on
