Default Looking at getting hondata for jrsc gsr with bolt ons specs inside

jrsc @ 6 psi (going to go up to 10 psi soon with crv pulley)
custom header with 3" collector
3" high flow carsound cat
3" straight minimal bend exhaust
b16 si tranny ctr lsd exedy stage 3 clutch
255lph walboro fuel pump

And now i am looking at getting a good ecu for tuning.... what would you guys recommend? Hondata... uberdata... aem ems... etc? Im looking to pass smog also (just the emissions part, another reason to get tuned) but also make max power... Will be adding injectors on later also..

Thanks for your time!

I would find a tuner that knows the sauce , and go with there recomendation.

We recomend Hondata and Zdyne .
I would't risk a motor with just anything.

You can start from scratch with an EMS system or you can go with this package:

I can offer you the package for much less.

Go with hondata, it will control everything you need.

i figure with colder plugs mugen thermostat (or something similar) water injection kit ( i can pick one up for 100 used) some nice rc saturated injectors and tuning it shouldnt be an issue

With the Hondata pre-tuned package, you no longer have to worry about detonation at 10-12psi.

damn $1300 is way too much for that imo. Just buy regular hondata and tune it yourself so you know it will definintly run good on your car rather than going with a preprogrammed thing(which i'm sure will be pretty darn close, but is nowhere near being worth $1300)...or even get uberdata if you aren't so worried about the hondata name.

It looks like that preprogammed stuff should run pretty close to what you need without any tuning. It could be more precise if you actually did some tuning to it though.

Let's see the individual price breakdown of the package:

Hondata S200B: $495.00
RC 440cc Injectors: $350.00
Hondata Pre-Chipped P28: $325.00
Total: $1170.00

How much more would you have to pay to have it tuned? Most tuners charge $100-$200 per hour.

Uberdata/Crome: Free
DSM 450's: $50
Pre-Chipped P28: $120-160
Wideband: $250-400

Total: $610 max and you can tune it as many times as you like

lol. I use my mom's work laptop so its free , but really i'm sure you could get a laptop with more than enough power to run these programs, and do datalogging, etc. for under $500

Let's agree to disagree. Because engine management is so crucial to forced induction, it's worth every penny.

I have to agree with SOHC_MShue
I have a JRSC and heres what i bought in the last week:

PLX-300 Wideband - $300
Uberdata chips, resistors, etc - $15
Burn1 Chip Programmer - $85
Laptop Compaq Presario - $25
DSM injectors - $25

Total $450 and i can tune it and do anything i want. As you can tell the Wideband costs the most and i coundnt find a used one so i bought the plx 300 new.
