A\C Condenser not turning on, but fan comes on?
A\C Condenser not turning on, but fan comes on? System was just recharged and tech says conderser is not turning on. Any help? its a 99 Civic si.

holy $hit!!!! WTF....I would stay far far away from that crack head tech. a condenser unit does not have any moving parts,let alone one that uses a voltage source. it's purpose is to absorb the cooler atmospheric air (heath transfer).

he probably misunderstood the tech.
the compressor is not turning on.......sounds like the system is low on refrigerant. or you have a electrical problem with the A/C system.

usuall a field coil. they are about 60bucks or a leak causing low refridgerant, wich wont let the compressor cycle
Thanks to all. I figured out the a\c clutch fan was not running. I check all connections as per Helms manual and all were good. So I plugged the stock ECU in and I had a\c. But with the chipped P28 no a\c! I had a p28 plugged in with a harness conversion. The pin out for the a\c clutch fan was in the wrong pin out. (a17 instead of a15) I swapped them and voila a\c. Thankx to all
