anyone have corbeau CR1's? looking for a review
i have no shops near me, so sitting in these is not an option. does anyone have these?
if so, what are your thoughts on them? i'm getting the wide version, as im a 38" waist.

I've had my CR-1's for about a month now, and they have their pros and cons.
PROS:
1. They look sick.
2. The seating placement and position is sooooo much better than my Si seats, but that shouldn't be a surprise.
3. Construction seems good.
4. They really hold you in place going around corners.
CONS:
1. They are very hard. I expected them to be firmer than my stock seats, but I didn't think they'd be as hard as they are. My butt starts to go numb in them after about 45 minutes of driving. Now I assume all racing seats are hard, but I've never sat in other racing seats so I don't have a comparison.
2. They're a little off on the sizing. I got the regulars because I have a 32-33 waist. The regulars are suppose to accommodate up to a 38 waist. They HUG me and I have very little room to shift back and forth. I can't imagine a 38 waist fitting in these. If I had known how tight they were going to be, I probably would have gotten the wide version.
3. This next one isn't a knock against the seats, but to the mounting brackets. I got the Corbeau brand ones, and they needed some massaging to line up with the holes. The quality could have been better on those.
I’ve read some opinions on this board before and the consensus is they are a middle of the road seat, which is sad in my opinion because I can't imagine $800 for a pair of seats being middle of the road.

They're alright. I tried them out, and they're a bit snug (34 waist). I ended up getting Clubmans, they're a lot more comfortable if you can go without having reclineables.

That's the reason I got the corbeau TRS, the A4s and CR1's are VERY tough, and imo has not alot of padding. Where as the corbeau is super comfy.
