Default Exhaust / Engine / Pressure ? ? ?

Okay, I got a few questions for you:

1. Do Honda engines perform better with very little back pressure in the system, or more back pressure in the system.

2. When you have a larger exhaust than stock, does that help your HP or your Tourqe / or both?

1. You always need a little back pressure .. much more at take off tho. Bascially when you increase a lot of HP .. the stock unit is wayyy to small and causes too much back pressure .. If you get an exhaust thats too big and you dont have much engine work, then your not gonna have much back pressure and thats not that good either. So .. if your not doing a lot of engine work (0-30 HP gains) then a smaller exhaust system like the APEXi WS or Tanabe super hyper will be best b/c its a med. size diameter that is designed for less output motors. if you have a motor swap and some goodies however .. your gonna want something a little less restrictive b/c the engine is going to be pump out a lot more HP/exhaust and can create the ness. back pressure much faster. I ran the Tanabe race exhaust on my stock accord and noticed definite! gains right away, off the line and full throttle. .. which shows the factory exhaust is wayyyy over restrictive and that an exhaust slightly too big is better than one to small ..

2. Definitly inceases the horsepower as I seen when I bolted on my Tanabe race system to my stock accord. Torque Im not sure, but i think it comes with the extra HP in more cases?

just dont go with like a 3" cat back
my friend has one on his 240sx but he also has a sr20 that he dumped like 5 grand into that needs pretty much no back pressure for the turbo
