Well... here's the deal. My car died about 2 days ago and I just push started it and it was okay for the next 2 days. Yesterday, I notice that my car is not starting quickly because the battery voltage must have been lower. I knew that my car would not start in the next couple startups and sure enough, it didn't start. I recently purchased the car and didn't know how old the battery was so that is the first thing I replaced figuring that would be the problem. I put the new battery in the car and it did not start or even turn over.

Weird right? How can it be the alternator if I just put a fresh battery and won't start?

Well, I bump start it(push start) because I had to get my *** to work. I come to work and stop the engine. I try to start it again but it just cranks over really slow and then doesn't crank at all.

When I was at stop lights... the car idled at about 300 rpm's and wanted to just die. I had to give it a lil gas to keep the car from dying.

What could this problem be? I'm guessing alternator still but some advice would be appreciated before i start replacing crap.

 

Take it to autozone and have them run a charging system check. That way you'll know for sure what it is.
