have a 95 civic.. ex.. and want to remove the part of the door panel where teh fabric is. .. how do i do it wit out fkin nehting up.. thanks.

 

You have to remove the entire panel and then remove that armrest section from the back. I think you'll have to break the clips to get it off, but then you can use screws to put it back in place.

 

If they are like the 96+ theyre melted together with little tabs that stick through a bunch of little holes. When I took mine out I drilled through the center of the tabs with a big drill bit, maybe like 3/8??? Only enough to get the thin part of the tab that melted through to let go (its hard to explain without pics). Then it will just pop right out. After you recover it you will need to get some little short, fat screws and very big washers to get it back together.
