Default KYB AGX Durability Question????

Gent's,

Can the AGX's hold mildy high spring rates? I want to run spring rates of 450 in the front and 350 in the rear? I am wondering if this will be to much for them? I am running these on my DA.

LMK

Thanks,
Joe B

I was leaning toward the yellows but heard agx's were better.. I should have gone with the yellows from the get. I can't remember what kind of warranty kyb offers for there struts but I know koni did a lifetime on there yellows.

KYB offers no warranty when combined with coil-over sleeves, or lowering springs that drop more than 1.5" (or mabey thats Tokico Illumina, I'm not sure)...

I wouldn't doubt it. Do you know if they are rebuildable?

It would probably cost more to rebuild, than purchasing a whole new shock...

I'm running those exact rates on my AGXs, and have been for three years. They're holding up like a champ.

the agx is not to be used when lowered more than 1.5'.
I have a used set from my friend which is 2.5 years old and has been dropped 2 inches during that whole time. They are holding up fine and make a remarkable difference in the cars handling behavior.

I've been running AGX with 280/210 rates (on a diff car) for 2 years and they've been fine, they only lowered by less than 1.5 inch... I think the main point is to not lower them too much and take care when you drive.... they are not rebuildable (meaning KYB will not rebuild them) its much cheaper if you just buy replacement shocks.
