Default Blox type-b cams

I was wondering about the quality and performance of the blox type-B cams shafts. I would usualy use Toda spec-b, and omni power srings, and retainers but im kinda building on a budget this time and was considering using the type-b. The specs look like they should be some pretty healthy cams but I have no experince with them and wanted to know if any of you guys have.

I've tuned two cars with these cams.

One car was a LS/Vtec with JDM P30 Pistons, OEM gasket, B16 head, boltons.

One car was a LS/Vtec with CTR pistons, OEM gasket, B16 head, ANR compact header.

THESE CAMS LIKE COMPRESSION. The difference between the two motors was like night and day. I wouldn't bother trying to use these cams on a 81mm bore motor without at least 12:1 compression - you'd be better off with a more mild cam.

These cams like to idle REALLY REALLY lean. 15.5-16:1. Extensive changes to timing and fuel maps were required on both the high and low cams. Don't even try to run them with a stock ECU.

oh yeah, both cars were tuned on Shell 93 octane fuel. Ran like a champ. The CTR piston LS/vtec had to be run on 100 octane unleaded for breakin with the stock ECU, but it ran like a champ on 93 after being tuned.

That's all I have to say about that.

What do you think the minimum I could go over would be on the bore, I had planed on running some jdm itr pistons that were .25mm over but I dout that will be enough now. It will be a every day driver but the guy will prolly run the **** out of it, and I will have it professionaly tuned buy a performance shop down hear, the guy does very nice tuning work.

Stock bore seemed to be fine with the CTR pistons. Don't bother with the .25mm overbore unless the block needs it to get cleaned up. I really don't think JDM ITR pistons are high enough compression to make effective use of these cams.

I havent been inside of it yet and miced any thing but Ill prolly end up going .25mm over because the block has like 180,000 miles on it, but what do you think what about the ctr .25mm over pistons.
