weird fuel gauge problem (searched)
Just curious if anyone knows why this might be happening....
Lately my fuel gauge (4th gen EL) reads a couple of notches below full even just after I fill the tank. It also seems like it reads low very quickly, as it said i used almost half a tank in 96 miles. the rest of the tank read like normal after i assume the fuel "caught up" with the gauge, however lately it's been saying i'm on empty (and i mean zero bars AND the light is on) even when i've got 2 gallons to go in the tank, maybe three. Anybody know what would be causing this? TIA
