Just got a bike; some question's
How many helmets does everyone have? I just bought an HJC. What is everyone's opinions on their quality. They did't do so well in "the helmet shootout" in motorcycle magazine. How many gloves do you own? Same questions for pants and coats. I'm just looking for opinions and ideas. Also do you buy local or online? Some of these may be noob questions but I've been reading the moto board's for a while. Last question: When I filll the tank does it also fill the reserve<----I'm a little embarrased about that one! I have 1 helmet.
I wouldn't use HJC simply because I'm used to KBC and Shoei.
I own two pairs of gloves
No pants
one jacket
I try out local and buy online
Your reserve tank gets filled automatically when you fill your tank. The older bikes have a switch to turn on the reserve. On the newer bikes like my 636, the reserve comes on automatically.. basically when the gas light comes on.

3 Helmets(1 Shoei, 1 HJC, 1 Icon) My favs in order 1.Shoei 2. HJC 3. Icon
1 set of gloves
I just wear jeans(I need to get some riding pants)
2 Jackets( Both Joe Rocket, 1 mesh for hot weather, and one half leather half textile)

2 helmets, 1 Arai, 1 offbrand, it's just a spare I got for free that I never ever use.
1 pair of gloves (Spidi)
2 pairs of pants, overpants with removable liner and leather pants (Spidi 2pc suit)
2 jackets, 1 leather (Spidi 2pc suit), 1 mesh/leather that I don't wear and need to sell (Rocket reactor)
2 pairs of riding/racing boots (1 set of Sidi vert 2's, the others are Spidi xpd that I don't wear and need to sell)
I also try out local and buy online
When I got my first bike I was looking for the reserve "switch" too, cuzz the bikes in the MSF had a little switch for it. There is no shame in asking, that is why this board is here.
