i droped a fresh B16a ODB-0 in a 90' HF. its still strong but when i start it up the check engine light comes on and it stutters to start. if i turn it off than on again its like new, no check engine light. also if im racing from a rolling start and banging through the gears, 4th or 5th will just **** itss self and the car just acts like its going but dosent. i have bin having a confusing time with the clutch. it liks it when i drive it hard, but somtimes when i drive it normal it burns.

will take all the help i can get. any suggestions before i tear my tranny appert?

 

what ecu are you using? .... is it a cable trans, try adjusting it.

 

its a stock odb0 and a cable stans, what do you think the ezist way to adjust it would be?

 

I don't advise taking the trans apart yet wait for more rersponses from other members. It seems to be more then that, seems more like elestrical problems.

 

what ecu code are you gettin?

 

I'm gonna say likely ignition problems. It is common to mess up the TDC/CYL/CRANk sensor wiring and the ECU will throw codes it will run like **** and it won't drive for ****. Check out that code for sure.
