Like a couple people mentioned in the thread that Apocalypse posted, historically kwaks have had some reliability issues. I used to shy away from them for that reason. Apparently they have gotten better about it and produce some good kickass reliable bikes, but the reliability issue still lingers in the back of my mind.
The ZX-10r is dead sexy though, my fav of the liter bikes fo sho. The 1st gen 636 was hot, not digging the new zx6's though (looks wise).

great choice
great choice
I have had no reliability issues with any of the Kawasaki bikes I've owned (3) and I really enjoy my 636.
I don't really ride with anyone that has a Kawi other than my friend, who I just talked into buying a 500R, but it's brand new and has had no problems.

It's an '03 with about 6000 mi. on it.

[QUOTE]I have an 01 and I havent had any problems yet. The new kawis look great and are the faster of the new 600's.[QUOTE]
^That's the most ignorant thing I've ever heard. Not be be a A-Hole but it's funny how they only compare the 636 to the other 600's in the shootouts and never the Kawi ZX-6RR that is the same displacement as the rest. They need 36cc's to "try" and be ahead of the pack.I think we should give ALL the bikes some credit since each and every magazine gives the title of best middleweight to every different company.Like I think it was sport rider who gave the 05RR the best rating in each and every comparison. Some people here are just being biased.Ever hear about the frames breaking apart on the 03-04 ZX-6R and ZX-10?

How is that an ignorant statement? He said his hasn't had problems and that his bike is the faster of the new 600's. Big deal? With your reasoning he should have said "My bike is faster than other bikes that are similar while only have 599cc's as oppsed to my 636cc's". Right, get off your high horse. Sorry mang, but it is perfectly valid. You can get a 636 for less money than most of the other middleweight bikes. Same price range, similar displacement, lots more fun. Dont hate because Kawasaki put a few more CC's in for better midrange.
Frames breaking...you see the GSXR1k from PPIR a couple of weeks back. Of course, dont take that as saying I have seen Kawi frames breaking, because I haven't. Show me one kawasaki bike that has had a collapsed frame without wrecking and I will give you a prize.
I love how people get pissed about this, like it is some HUGE deal. So someone decided they wanted a faster bike without going above the 650cc insurance range. So they decided they wanted to do it and spend less money than someone else who bought a slower bike. How does that affect you one bit? Stop hatin' and have fun RIDING.
Oh yeah, I would also bet that the ZX6RR on the track, is probably just as fast if not faster than most of the other "600's".

Especialy the last line. After placing it first amongst the '05 machines, they had to add that in there for people like you Rhino

Do you not WATCH AMA SUPERSPORT?
Seems to me last year the ZX6RR did some *** kicking, and this year with a new bike design is doing the same thing... BTW I met Rodger Lee, he is a class act!
Never heard about one frame Breaking? Im all over all the Boards that are Kawasaki Realted..
Your Right, all the 600CC bikes are very close and when i bought mine, I looked at Weight, Price, And Power..the Rest is history!
