Default removing rear seats and bars behind the rear seats. will it affect handling?

i was planning to take out my rear seats and there are bars behind the rear seats an i was wondering if i removed those, would they affect my handling a little? they look like really weak bars and it dosent seem like they do, but i just wanted to make sure before i take out those couple pieces of metal.

I think removing those bars will compromise the strength and integrity of your car in case of an accident.

Do you mean the trunk torsion bars that hold the trunk open or the rear shelf that holds the speakers and such??

If you really want to take stuff out get some braces and you should be fine...

the stuff behind the back seat that holds the center speaker, and the frame of the seat, has no structural value whatsoever, and is just flimsy sheet metal. its there to hold your seat. it can be unbolted with no side effects.

edit: mine looked like the above picture, except I didn't take a saw to the speaker deck. I just removed what could be unbolted. I had a rear strut tower bar, but not the C-pillar bar.
