Default What's The difference?

If you have nothing good to post, plz do us a favor and not post. thanks
Hey guys well, my freind recently bought a "zc" for 350-400 bucks and it's a zc, but one of my friends. friend says it's a b20, but it just has a zc stamp on there so people can think it's a ZC. So, from the people who know, what can i look for to tell the difference between the ZC and B20. is the manifold, valvecover, head bigger, wider diff?

any input is greatly appreciated, thanks

your friends friend is a complete Idiot. Its a ZC if its stamped ZC.
Dont listen to him.

Yes they do look similar but NOWHERE near the same.

Whats he got a SOHC or DOHC?
I imagine a DOHC since the Idiot friend sayd it was a B20 but stamped ZC....hes a moron.....

Just trust your gut instinct man, if its stamped ZC it is one.

Hang on Ill find you a pic of both...

Im not even going to post pics of the B20 since they came in a few different varietys.

1 Sure fire way to tell is this other than the stamp.....No B20 will just bolt into a 88-91 Civic/CRX.

If it bolts in using stock mounts then its a ZC.

OK head is Wider on B20's, Exh flange is entirely different, IM looks hella different, but other than that, they look close, the valve cover is where people make the mistake of calling a DOHC ZC a B18 or B20 because they look almost identical.

And you cant just Bolt in an B20 without mounts, but the ZC you can reuse stock mounts...it applied to EG's too....

The one from the 88-91 Prelude looks even closer too the ZC than that one.

Got the Big difference......
The ZC valve covers take a plastic piece to cover the Timing belt....where the B20's (all of them) the cover for the timing belt is made onto the valvecover....Hah...tell him that.

If you put them next to eachother, you'll really see the difference, especially the size
