to put it short, whats a pillowball mount? and how can aftermarket peices be benificial? thanks

 

The pillow mount is the top 'hat' of the strut that holds the spring in place. Aftermarket mounts get rid of the cushy rubber found in the stock units and are made of a solid metal which lets the springs work more effectivley.
