17x7 rubbing ??
ok here we go i have a 97 civic dx w/ skunk 2 sleeved coilovers with tociko blues. Im no really liking the ride all that much to much bounce. i just bought some 17x7 rims w/ 205/40/17 i have not put the rims on yet b/c i know they will rub
iv been reasearching springs left and right for the past two weeks and im trying to decide on a new combo koni yellows w/h&r race or eibach sportlines.. i want to lower as much as i can w/o rubbing what do you guys think would be best for daily agressive driving... bummpy roads included. thanks for ur input

You won't be able to lower it past 2" without rubbing. I have my EM1 at about 2.75" drop and it rubs in the front. I am goin to roll the front fender and that should fix the problem.
I'm not sure what the exact drop is...but I'm tucking 17x7's with Kumho MX tires on Skunk2 sleeves and KYB AGX shocks. I rolled the rear fenders and the front only rubs if I'm turning into a steep incline/driveway or I turn sharp and semi-fast with the wheel at almost full lock, like into a parking spot or at a stop sign. Other than that...it's all good.

though skank2 sleeves suck, they'll help keep you from rubbing more than fixed length springs.
what's the offset on the wheels? what spring rates? if you can bear to go with stiffer springs, upgrade to konis and it should help with the rubbing, though it may not eliminate it. you could get a camber kit to add more neg. camber and tuck the tires.

yea that would work for him but he said it's too stiff. but then again i dont know why you would want to change your suspension again. those 205/40's arent going to make it any better... cars are money pits
