i have a jl 10w3d4 V2 sub. ive had JL's b4 and I know they dont need a whole lot of space..but does anybody else have W3 that they have built/bought a box for that sounds real good?
or woudl it just be better to buy a jl box for a 10?

http://www.jlaudio.com

they have recommended enclosure volumes on there

personally with 10w3's i've stuck with 1.25 ported, 20 sq in, or 3" round

im a jl dealer and ill tell you either build your own box, or you can buy a box. we sell a company called subzone there boxes are pretty close to jls specs. they make them sealed and slot ported. all depends on what you listen too. slot ported boxes are pretty big. the sealed is #h101lq and ported is #hs10v.

you can build your own box for pretty cheap, just make sure you use the right materials and follow JL's space guidelines. I tend to get more satisfaction out of something I build rather than buying it pre-made. It also allows room for you to add your own touches.
