Help my sick 90 'tegra! please! might swap to GSR need advice! NEED MECHANIC!
After a coolant leak from the heater hose left my car bone dry,
my local pep boys told me that I was getting engine compression in my coolant system meaning a broken block, a blown head gasket, or a cracked head. The engine has 208,000 miles on it and I need it as my daily driver as soon as possible. I have a 5 grand cap on my repairs, but I want to drop a gsr engine in it instead of patching this engine together for god knows how many more miles. Please let me know how much GSR swaps have cost others in the past and whether it is economically fiesable for my 1990 integra. I have the manual transmission which I would like to keep if possible (or smart) because it has a sport clutch already installed. I'm not thinking about turbo, I just want something that runs all the time and strong. Please PLEASE get back to me all you crazy honda people!
I live in West Palm Beach, FL and I need a mechanic who is essentially a honda guru who can tell me what to do and/or do it for me including either an LS/VTEC conversion or a GSR swap.

You should search the previous threads, many of your questions have been answered. But, ill try and help you as well. A B18c1 swap will run you in the neighborhood of 3500, not including install. Labor totally depends on who you have do it. As far as your clutch, you can keep it no problem. You have a B18a1 motor, and B series stuff is readily interchangable.
