okay, here's the setup:
1995 DC4 integra
ABS
manual steering
22mm rear sway bar (simple DIY mounting, 2 years and running)
'97 Type-R springs (225lb/in front, 185lb/in rear)
Tokico Illumina 5-way Single-Adjustable Dampers (Compression&Rebound Adjusted together)
same tires front and rear for now
Type-R front lip and rear wing
soon to have at least a front splitter and belly pan, later possibly a rear belly pan if high speed corners dictate the necessity
and recently, i added an OEM Type-R LSD to the package.
front strut tower bar, rear tower bar and tie bar. all cheap stuff, nothing fancy.

overall: at high speeds, understeer is a problem. it needs a splitter very badly, although i'm worried that it will be too much downforce and create an unsteady rear, hence i may add a rear underside aero package as needed. in medium-low speed corners, say under about 70mph, it's dead neutral with the dampers on 4 front, 5 rear (out of 5 settings). steering feels progressive and firm, turn-in is nice, but depends greatly on my choice of alignment settings.

the problem: in the corners, since the LSD, i've noticed great grip, but only when on the gas hard. and if i let off, it understeers heavily instead of send weight to the rear tires. so instead of coming into a 50mph corner at 50mph, i have to come in at 40-45mph and just hammer the gas about 1/2 way to the apex or 2/3 of the way to the apex and leave it floored all the way through the apex and out of the corner. then i can come out maybe at 60mph rather than 50mph, which is good, but letting off anywhere midcorner results in embarrassing and somewhat difficult to predict understeer. i've come to the conclusion over the past 2 weeks that the factory LSD is only a 1-way LSD. i cannot go back and replace it with a 2-way unit, for monetary reasons.
the questions: what can i do to even the suspension back out? do i need additional reinforcement of the rear subframe in order to be safe using adjustable end links? i think a stronger rear sway bar setting might help this out a lot, but i'm just not sure if even the modified subframe is strong enough. maybe i need one of those comptech lower tie bars? please advize on what you guys think might settle this without buying a new LSD.

 

i've got it balanced out more now after some adjustments. i haven't gone driving really hard yet, though, so i'll see if it's still unstable off-throttle mid-corner.

Aero ain't gonna do much at 70mph. If you wanta lose that understeer you need to bump up rear spring rates. Try 300 front 450 rear. Also, I am a little concerned that you are not talking about track driving but instead driving hard on the street. you should not be coming close to the limit on the street. The life you save could be your own!
