All you guys that have obd-1 gsrs, can you tell me where proper placement of the O2 sensor is? I have a swap that was pieced together and I am not sure if I have the proper exhaust manifold/cat so I can pass the bar inspection.

I have the O2 sensor in the cat right now but people have told me that obd1 cars have the O2 sensor in the exhaust manifold? Can anyone shed some light on this for me? thanks

 

yeah it does go in the header, but i have seen ppl with the same issue as you for some reason..if you have one in the cat, chances are you have one at the collecter at the end of your header also, so just leave it alone if you arent throwing any engine codes

 

On the stock 94-95 GSRs, the single o2 sensor is on the cat, right before the honeycomb material.

thanks for the answers guys, this is how I have it set up now, but I didn't pass the emissions part of the BAR, my numbers were WAY high, so I thought this might have something to do with it,

I have a spare exhaust manifold with the o2 in it and I was going to swap it , but now that I know my o2 sensor placement is correct, maybe I just need a new cat,
