is a lil tiny faint sound of knock ok to have on the engine. u really hear it when sitting in the car, but once u get out u dont hear it as much, its not loud or aggressive sounding, but jus wondering if its ok to have a lil bit of knock, i have bout 60000 miles on it, any recommended services u all have done at this mileage to avoid problems down the road.???? thanx

is it a knock, a rattle, or a tick?

knocks are NEVER ok.

rattles are usually something outside the engine, but can sound like the engine itself. exhaust parts, brackets, dropped bolts, etc.

ticks are usually be fixed pretty easily. valve lash adjustment.

 

hey there ya go, its more of a tick, so valve lash adjustments huh, wut does something like that usually cost to have done????

 

If its just a tick, Honda's allways have a little valve Tap, but if its a knock thats a bad thing.
