Default Repair cost

I've decided to do three things to my 02 cbr f4i. I want to change the brake pads, brake fluid, and also tighten up the chain a bit. The guy said that he'll get after market brake pads for me and he'll charge a total of $120 US for doing everything. Before I go ahead i just wanted to ask if 120 is a reasonable price for doing this work.

It depends on the brake pads they are going to provide. I just paid ~100 (not installed) for a set of ebc hh pads all around for my 929. (2 sets for front, one set for rear). If he is selling you oem replacement pads then it doesnt look like it as good of a deal. There are oem knockoff pads on ebay for ~60 or so for pads all around. Find out what pads they are so you can get an idea of how much parts are going to cost, then figure out the labor he is charging you. If it is too much, go elsewhere.

Find a monkey and give him a set of wrenches, he should be done in about an hour.

Seriously though you should do this stuff yourself. It's really easy to do and so satisfying when you learn how to wrench on you bike yourself

Doing this yourself will pay for at least half the cost of the stand
