Default 2 fuel filters

I have a 99 EXV6 2dr AT. I want to change the fuel filter. I am looking at a drawing and it looks like there are two filters. One in the tank and one outside the tank(canister type). Am I looking at that right? I am looking at the pictures on Majestic Honda's website under fuel pipe and fuel tank. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance!

Interesting, i wonder why they would mount a filter in the tank itself, wouldnt that make it next to impossible to remove? The other thing im wondering is perhaps that what you are thinking is a filter could quite possibly a pump?

1 fuel filter inside tank, assembled with fuel pump, need to drop tank to replace filter .. since it is a pain to replace filter the only time i would do it if there is an issue in fuel pressure drop otherwise do not worry about it

i still dont understand why they'd do that, i guess i can understand its function but the idea of having to drop the tank to replace it. What happens if that filter needs replacing. The labor on that must be a good amount.

What about the other one outside the tank. It says it is a "FILTER, CANISTER" on the Majestic website.

i had the hardest time changing the one under the hood, i considered relocating it but with the size of my hands and working in that little space, there was no way i'd have gotten that done cleanly.
