Default alt belt install gone bad..car blows fuses now.

Yesterday i picked up my powersteering belt & my alternator belt.. while replacing the alternator belt the belt was a little looser than normal, but i was told to pry on it to tighten up the tension..

I pried on it a little bit before realizing that the ******* gave me the wrong belt and in the process of while trying to pry on it.. It sparked and must of touched the power wire.. not thinking anything about it i went ahead and put the new power steering belt and the new alternator belt back on..

got in the car to start it up and no power, no lights nothing turns on.. So i start checking fuses, i blew the 80 amp battery fuse in the engine bay and i went to auto zone to pick a fuse up.. get home and as soon as i put this fuse in it blows.. so obviously i have a short, but i checked the wires and it doesn't look like anything is touching.

If worse comes to worse i'll pull the alternator off and go and buy a new one, but i'd like to hear some feedback before i possibly throw $200.00 down the drain.

thanks h-t.

I have a alternator I just pulled off my old motor I'll sell it for $100 shipped. If it will fit I have a 2000 si b16a2?

D-series parts aren't interchangeable with b-series parts.. thanks though man.
I'm thinking maybe when something sparked it fried my alternator? Any comments & suggestions would HIGHLY be appriciated.
